WELCOME TO JUST PLAIN CHER
Just Plain Cher is one of the largest Cher resources on the internet!
CHER'S BACK
Big news is that Cher is back in the limelight and in concert, opening at Caeser's Palace on May 6, and performing through the rest of the month. Cher has been very busy doing the interview rounds and appearing on the Grammy's to promote her show. If you're going to buy tickets, do it now as sure to sell out quickly (at least the good seats). Her birthday is May 20 and Cher is performing that night - so if you are undecided about dates, I am sure that promises to be a fun night.
Don't miss out. Cher is performing in May, and then throughout August, September and into October
Great seats are still available for what promises to be her most spectacular show yet.

FEATURED DOWNLOAD OF THE MONTH
This month we have two downloads - one from the Sonny & Cher Christmas Show a Cher and Farrah Fawcett clip. Both play models washed up on a beach after a ship wreck. Very funny.

News: CHER PROMISES THE 'MOST SPECIAL SHOW WE'VE DONE'
By Mike Weatherford
She had the loudest show on the Strip in 1980.
The most expensive ticket in town in 1990.
Now, Cher is the most anticipated Las Vegas arrival of 2008, and she's promising "the most special show we've ever done" in 200 dates during the next three years, starting today in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Cher and Las Vegas are much alike, reinventing themselves over the years without abandoning their mutual zeal for going over the top.
Some fans plunking down as much as $250 for a ticket may not pause to realize Cher has been working the Strip for 39 years.

News: LIVE: CHER AT CAESER'S PALACE
By Ann Powers, Times Pop Music Critic
May 8, 2008
She might be 62, but the singer is still full of her trademark glitz and glamour. Her show is lavish, nonstop fun.
LAS VEGAS -- Like the temples of the ancient Roman world that it simulates, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is an environment suited to extravagant immortals. The artists who've graced its huge stage have all achieved that status in which one name not only serves but also explains and expands upon whatever the star projects.
First there was Celine, clean and lean, selling every song with unmatchable melodrama. Then came Elton, whose eloquence (if not always elegance) weighs a ton. Later, there was Bette, and you can bet on her -- she's the go-to girl for solid showbiz flair.

News: CHER READY FOR 200 CAESERS VEGAS SHOWS
By MICHAEL CIDONI
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cher said farewell, but not goodbye. Two-and-a-half years after the final show of her three-year "Farewell" concert tour, the Oscar-, Emmy- and Grammy-award winner announced last week that she'd signed on for a three-year, 200-show engagement at Caesars Palace.
Cher told AP Television the move was no mere change of heart.
"Well, first of all, there was going to be a big time between ending the show, ending the tour, and going to Vegas," she said. "I wouldn't have to move. I wouldn't have to travel. I could just stay there. Because that's what I really can't do anymore, is I can't go on the road. It's just too much. It's just too impossibly hard. And I started there, and I thought that it might be fun."

News: CHER SHARES: LIFE, LOVE, TATTOOS, POLITICS, PAPARAZZI
By Edna Gundersen
MALIBU, Calif. — Draped Cleopatra-style across a plush sofa, Cher accepts hot raspberry tea from an assistant upstairs in her Italian Renaissance Revival villa, a magnificent 16,000-square-foot estate spread across a bluff offering splendid views of mountains and the Pacific.
A cabinet nearby displays impressive career hardware: a Grammy, Emmy, Oscar, Golden Globes. With these laurels, this luxury and an estimated worth of $600 million, it's understandable that fans and showbiz pundits assume Cher slipped into retirement after her exhaustive and exhausting Farewell Tour ended three years ago.

I've got a piece of you, Babe.
Well, at least a chunk of nifty stuff from your upscale garage sale.
Fans of pop singer Cher plunked down a total of $3.5 million for some of her old clothes, a car and assorted other junk. The 60-year-old star put about 700 items on the block at the Beverly Hilton Hotel so she could redecorate her Malibu home.
